Its a full on goon beatdown as Batman makes his way through Thorn's goons! KNIGHTFALL gets a little better. Jason reads Shadow of the bat, but missed the double ship. Its ok. Nick didn't read Shadow of the Bat. Between the two of us we are one professional. We chat about trying to draw a bit at the end instead of some books we've been reading.

Jason and Nick tackle the issues of batman in the lead up to Knightfall. Not a lot happens. I mean- things are about to happen. They haven't happened yet. Although jacked Riddler was a treat.
Batman Adventures continues to be the best book on the stands with this 'Knives Out' style mystery.

Jason and Nick talk ROBIN III- all 6 issues of it. I mean- they cover it but they don't *COVER* it. They realize that maybe there are too many bat books and try to narrow the focus. Shadow of the Bat concludes the misfits arc featuring Tim Sale art. Batman is still tired. Batman Adventures remains the best book on the stands.

Jason and Nick talk about how its a treat to see artists grow and change, however this week of bat books was a little weak. Azrael is introduced to the bat books, and to us. Which is probably important because, spoilers, he is going to be batman for a while. Batman Adventures gets its first 2 parter, with a Scarecrow story about literacy.
