Batman Adventures issue 26

We start reading the first real story after the Zero Hour Crisis. Prodigal! 
Batman hecks off immediately, and we get Dick Grayson in the batsuit. Is he confident no. Is there a reason for that? kinda no? 
Batman Adventures Continues to be on point. Dick Grayson and Barb flirt and fight their way through this heist issue. 
Jason brings an artist's artist to the to read pile with Paul Pope's The One Trick Rip-off. Nick tries out FATE, the reboot of doctor fate after Zero Hour.

It finally happened. Sound the alarm. Superman is here and we have a World's Finest issue. 
We tackle 3 issues that are all batman origin issues in the regular continuity. All 0 issues post Zero Hour. It's very ok. 
Batman and Superman try to wrap their minds around the threat of Lex Luthor with a full head of hair. He is vaguely scottish. Will our heroes survive this?

OUTTA TIME! 
Jason and Nick tackle the mainline bat books that are all part of the huge DC event ZERO HOUR. They break those down, and the batman adventures ninja romp that is issue 24. 
Then they proceed to try to decode Zero Hour, and I'm not going to lie to you here. I wouldn't do that. Zero Hour is *A LOT*

Batman Adventures Annual 1

We talk Batman Adventures annual issue 1. Paul Dini is writing every story, and we are treated to an avalanche of star artists on the book. Batman muses about his villains, and how many of them come close to rehabilitation. Nick sides with the scarecrow murdering people. 
We send off and give our last thoughts on the Knightfall, Knightquest, Knightsend event. Is it worth reading in 2023? Kinda? I guess? Maybe. Hey. At least the annual was a banger. 

Batman Adventures issue 23

The Knightfall event comes to a close in these 5 mainline bat book issues. Does Jean-Paul become the true batman after all? Of course not. Bruce is back! 
Batman Adventures 23 features a lot of science done the only way that we know- in skin tight outfits. Poison Ivy and Batman work to find a cure for a rare poison. Poison Ivy won't take advantage of the situation right? He asked knowing she would.

Batman Adventures issue 22

Hey kid- you better start being cool about comics with ninjas real quick because there is a heck of a lot of them in these mainline bat books! We are packed with ninjas as Bruce trains with Lady Shiva. He lost his edge and can he ever get it back? wait. Is this about a midlife crisis or am I currently having a midlife crisis while coincidently reading these issues? Jury is out on that one. 
Harvey breaks out of Arkham and starts putting a gang together. Can Batman stop him? And when/if he does, how badly do you think Bruce is going to mess up his friend. Its worse than what you are thinking. 
We hit the 'to read' pile with Dogs and Water by Anders Nilsen and Catwoman Lonely City by Cliff Chiang. 

Batman Adventures issue 21

The Knightquest continues as Jean Paul Valley finally kills someone as Batman, but its not how you think! Its worse than you think! Robin spends page after page of picking up his father from the airport. Bruce Wayne starts to toy with the idea of maybe coming back and being Batman again? 
Batman Adventures is packed with genetically altered killing machines. How will batman get out of this one? Will anyone survive this night of teeth and claws!? 
We talk Nowhere men and Dandadan in the to read pile.
 

Batman Adventures issue 20

Clayface continues to befuddle and entertain. Chuck Dixon writes the most gun heavy issue in the history of comics. The Crusade isn't going great for Jean Paul Batman. 
Meanwhile antics abound in Batman Adventures issue 20 with mr nice, mastermind and the perrfessor. 
The to read pile has everything- Fine literature turned into comics with a meditative focus on the violence we inflict on eachtoher with Slaughterhouse five, and a giant lizard who could crush them all.

Batman Adventures issue 19

This pod has everything. Nick gets his mind absolutely broken in half by trying to figure out Clayface. Jason loves Jean Paul Batman's wrist mounted rockets. The 3 stooges are here, but now they've gone Gotham Punk as a reaction to Seattle's 90s grunge scene. 
Batman Adventures blesses us with an version of scarecrow that is both an 8 year old wielding power, and ok getting in bed with ww2-like experiments. 
Jason talks about books and self development. Nick goes the other way and just talks Chainsaw man.
